Asia Pacific Cup Junior Am is Nov. 8

Amateur golfers are invited sign up to join some of the world’s top junior golfers at the Asia Pacific Junior Cup Junior Am on Nov. 8 at Waikoloa Kings’ Course.

The $100 entry fee includes all golf, the APJC awards ceremony and luncheon.

Entries must be received by Nov. 1.

The Asia Pacific Junior Cup will be held Nov. 9-11, with four-ball, singles and foursome matches

Keiki Triathlon deadline extended

The deadline to enter the County’s Keiki Triathlon on Oct. 20 in Kailua-Kona has been extended until all 120 spots are filled.

Applications are available from noon to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the following locations: Yano Hall in Captain Cook; Kekuaokalani Gym in Kailua-Kona; Pu‘u Nui Park in Waikoloa; Waimea Community Center; and Kamehameha Park in Kapaau.

Aikane Tennis meets Tuesday

Aikane Tennis will be held 7-10 p.m. Tuesday at Edith Kanaka‘ole Multipurpose Stadium.

Members play for $2, non-members $5.

Konawaena golf tourney Nov. 17

Konawaena High will hold its inaugural Wildcat Golf Challenge on Nov. 17 at the Club at Hokulia.

The entry fee of $200 per person, includes cart, gift, continental breakfast and luncheon.

All proceeds benefit the school’s sports programs.

Baseball tourney seeking teams

The Andrews Pony Braves and Indians are looking for teams for their Veterans Day Baseball Tournament scheduled for Nov. 7-11.

The tournament — open to teams in the Pinto, Mustang and Bronco divisions — will be held at the Walter Victor Baseball Complex, Wong Stadium, Andrews Gym and Carvalho Park.

There will be a maximum of eight teams per division.

Waimea offers volleyball league

Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with Waimea Athletics, offers an age-group volleyball league from Oct. 14 to Nov. 19, Tuesdays and Thursdays in October; Mondays and Wednesdays in November. The games start at 4:30 p.m.

Fees are $10 payable to Waimea Athletics.Volunteer coaches are needed.
