A cast of 23 seventh- and eighth-grade students at Hawaii Preparatory Academy will present “C-Rhyme and Pun-ishment,” at 7 p.m. Oct. 9-10 at the school’s Gates Performing Arts Center.
The musical performance is free and open to the public.
“C-Rhyme and Pun-ishment” is a “Law and Order” musical spoof with many puns and plot twists. Middle school music teacher Barbara Kopra directs.
In the nursery rhyme justice system, two separate, yet equally important groups represent the people — the detectives, who investigate the crime, and the magistrates, who prosecute the defenders. These are their rhymes.
The Inspector and the Punnish Sir have been called in to investigate a crime scene where a Mister Humpty Dumpty was found shattered and “fowl” play is suspected. Can they solve the c-rhyme?
