The playground at Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens will be closed beginning Monday while its surface is upgraded.
The playground will remain closed each weekday until Oct. 24.
It will be open Oct. 18 and Oct. 19.
The playground’s surface will be upgraded to a synthetic turf safety system, according to the county Department of Parks and Recreation.
