Hecubuan “Buan” Kuualoha Damo, 57, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 27 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he was a maintenance worker at Waimea Airport and Kohala Airport, and also a member of UPW Local 646 AFL-CIO. Celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Hale Halawai. Service at 2:30 p.m. Refreshments to follow. Casual attire. For information, call 808-896-0257. April Hatsuko Thompson, 61, of San Francisco died Sept. 4 at the Laguna Honda Rehab Center. Born in Hilo. Private services held in Hilo. Survived by son, Christopher; daughter, Elizabeth; his parents; two brothers; a sister; a paternal aunt; and a maternal aunt.
