Atanacio “Jack” Ancheta Acojido, 89, of Naalehu died Oct. 15 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama facility. Born in the Philippines, he was a retired factory maintenance worker for the former Ka‘u Sugar Co. and member of Naalehu Pensioners Club. Services held. Survived by wife, Julita B. Acojido of Naalehu; daughters, Zaclyn (Jared) Hook of Kona and Colbey (Ferdinand) Babas-Acojido of Hilo; cousins, nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Eloise Anne Zerbe McIntosh, 92, of Kealakekua died Oct. 13 at home. Born June 23, 1922, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker, hula dancer, retired secretary and member of Daughters of Hawaii, St. John’s Catholic Church, Kealakekua, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Honolulu. Oahu graveside service 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Diamond Head Memorial Park Cemetery. Condolences to the family at P.O. Box 2178, Kealakekua, HI 96750. Kiyoshi Oshiro, 89, of Kukuihaele died Oct. 10 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born in Papaikou, he was a retired county highway maintenance worker, U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Honokaa Hui Uruma Club. Services held. Helen Kehaulani Pakani, 58, of Hilo died Oct. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a certified nursing assistant at Life Care Center of Hilo.
