Born in Olaa, she was a former assistant manager for Finance Factors Ltd., insurance agent for Occidental Underwriters of Hawaii, and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Buddhist Women’s Association, Hui Okinawa, Shoshin-Kai Koto Club, Olaa Village Reunion Committee and Hilo High School Class of 1940 Committee.
