The community is invited to “Shake, Rattle &Roll” at the Hilo Woman’s Club’s annual “Oldies But Goodies Sock Hop!”
The dance is slated for 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the HWC Clubhouse at 7 Lele St. in Hilo.
“Aloha kakou! Put on your favorite dancing duds, whether they be from the ’50s ’60s or ‘whateva,’ and dance to old favorites performed by Dan Nix,” said event coordinators.
This favorite community event includes a light 1950s-style dinner, topped off with root beer floats.
Tickets for the sock hop are $15 per person and all proceeds directly benefit the community via the club’s scholarships and community donations programs.
