The Kiwanis Club of East Hawaii’s celebrated its 51st installation of officers for 2014-15 at a dinner meeting Saturday, Sept. 27.
The board’s new immediate Past President, Kelsey Okuda, handed the gavel to new President Hunter Bishop.
Also installed were Vice President Margaret Pahio; Secretary Audrey Kagawa; Treasurer Lauren Nishimoto; one-year directors Del Kleckner, Jeff Lux, Lani Miho; and two-year directors Shanon Hopkins, Ian Kow and Dennis Lin.
The busy Kiwanis Club of East Hawaii has been providing community service projects locally since it was established in Hilo in 1963.
The club also supports and mentors youth in its Service Leadership Programs such as Circle K at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Key Clubs at Waiakea and Hilo high schools, Builders clubs at Hilo Intermediate School, and K-Kids at E.B de Silva and Waiakeawaena elementary schools.
