Police are seeking to determine the identity of a man whose body was found Saturday in Puna.

Police say they received a call at 12:43 p.m. Saturday that a man found a body while cleaning up his property after a Halloween party.

The victim, who has not been identified, had last been seen walking in the area of the Halloween party, police said. He’s described as Caucasian, in his mid- to late-20s, about 5-foot-10, 145 pounds with medium-length wavy dark brown hair, a light complexion, a mustache and goatee. He was wearing a black trench coat, black “Metal Mulisha” board shorts and has piercings in his lower lip.

Preliminary results of an autopsy conducted Tuesday ruled out foul play. Police are awaiting toxicology reports, which could take several weeks.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity of the victim is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Dean Uyetake at 961-2379 or duytetake@co.hawaii.hi.us.
