Adam Raymond Arvidson, 48, of Waimea died Nov. 2. Born in Pullman, Wash., he was a middle school math teacher and sports official. Celebration of life at 1 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home. Yukie Tanaka, 91, of Hilo and formerly of Waimea, died Oct. 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Mountain View, she was co-owner/business manager of Tanaka Electric, a senior citizen hula instructor and a member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin Kyodan, Buddhist Women’s Association and Hawaii Japanese Center. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers and no koden. Survived by brother, Les (Shirley) Ihara Sr. of Honolulu; sister, Nobuko (Howard) Mimaki of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Roland Kulakauka Mendoza Jr., 45, of Hilo died Oct. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a forklift operator and member of Ka Uhane Hemolele O Ka Malamalama.
