Keaau Middle School PTSA invites everyone to its KMS Book Fair Fundraiser scheduled for the week of Nov. 17-21 from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. daily.
The fair will be held in the Keaau Public Library Humanities Room at 16-571 Keaau-Pahoa Road. On Thursday, Nov. 20, from 5-7:30 p.m., the book fair will feature Family Night where all who attend may enter a drawing to win $10 gift cards and prizes. Refreshments will be served.
“We invite you to our school to share in our celebration of books and reading,” said event coordinators. “Not only does the Book Fair help raise funds to support student activities and teacher needs, it also encourages reading among our students.
“As students grow older, it is so important to keep books in their lives. Students who are readers now are more likely to be life-long learners. Readers develop larger vocabularies, a greater knowledge of the world, and higher academic achievement.
“Our Book Fair provides a wide variety of books specifically selected to appeal to middle school interests and families including resource books, recipe books and a section for elementary students. Students will discover books that are entertaining and inspirational.”
