Haime A. Barroga, 95, of Kurtistown died Oct. 14 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in the Philippines, he was a cook and U.S. Army World War II veteran. Douglas Stanley Hough, 86, of Hilo died Nov. 12 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Los Angeles, he was a teacher, a yacht captain, a builder and he served in the U.S. Navy. A Celebration of life is set for 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Center for Spiritual Living, directly following the Sunday service. The center is located on the corner of Paradise and 31st in Hawaiian Paradise Park, Keaau. Casual attire. Shyrine Yuk Lan Lee-Pahio, 73, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and formerly of Waimea died Nov. 3 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Arizona. Born June 7, 1941, in Honolulu, she was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She was employed at the Ryusaki Bus Corporation, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Hawaii Preparatory Academy, Kalani’s Drive-In and the Parker Ranch Broiler in Hawaii and Hughes Aircraft in California; was a member of the Kahea o ka Ahiu and Waimea Civitan Clubs; and was a member of the Prescott Valley Christian Church. Memorial Service in Arizona from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Saturday, Nov. 15) at Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Cremation to follow. Memorial Service in Hawaii from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Kawaihae Canoe Club (Small Boat Harbor). Service at 1 p.m. No wreaths, but leis and loose flowers are welcome. Casual attire.
