Sadami Yada Hamamoto, 90, of Hilo died at home on Friday, Oct. 31. Born in Kaiaakea, she was a retired secretary for the University of Hawaii at Hilo. She was a member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and its Buddhist Women’s Association, Home Gardener’s Club, Waiakea Recreation Center Adult Fitness Group, and the East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjinkai. Survived by sons, Jerry (Jane) Hamamoto of Hilo and Robert Hamamoto of Hilo; daughters, Ann Sayoko (Patrick Kazuo) Lau of Hilo and Joan (Gregg) Mayo of Hilo; six grandchildren.
