Basically Books in downtown Hilo has invited local authors to come to the store to be “booksellers for the day” on Shop Small-Small Business Saturday.
A parade of local authors, including Justina Mattos, Kawika Eyre, Chip Hughes, Audrey Wilson, Lynn Farr and others, will stop by to try their hands at bookselling and talk story with readers.

The Shop Small initiative sponsored by American Express is in its fifth year of encouraging people to “Buy Local.”
