A house fire Monday in Fern Acres is being investigated as possible arson, according to a police log.
According to a Fire Department statement, seven units responded to the 12:08 p.m. alarm to find the garage at the home at 11-3458 Lehua St. fully involved in flames. The fire did make it into the living quarters, but firefighters managed to keep that portion of the home from becoming a total loss.
The fire was reported under control at 12:29 p.m. and extinguished at 12:47 p.m.
No one was injured.
Fire officials estimated the loss at $120,000, while $70,000 in property value was reportedly saved.
