Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center recently announced its 2014 Rewarding Excellence CNA of the Year and Team Spirit awards.

CNA of the Year is the top award given to three peak performers who consistently provide excellent customer service and were nominated by residents, resident family members and facility associates, based on their attitude, teamwork, competency, tenure and facility involvement.

The 2014 CNA of the Year awardees are Susan Caban, Darrell dela Cruz and Erick Jose.

The Team Spirit Award is presented to an outstanding associate whose enthusiasm, optimism, persistence and pride in his/her work create synergy among the team. This associate’s performance also demonstrates true commitment and dedication to Hale Anuenue’s mission.

Noting his enthusiasm and engaging personality that delights Hale Anuenue residents, family members and coworkers, the 2014 Team Spirit awardee is Manuel “Manny” Pascua, activityAide.

Awardees each received $100 cash and a framed certificate.

“We are proud of the nominations we receive each year which are of very high caliber, making the decision very difficult,” said Ivan Yamamoto, Hale Anuenue executive director. “On a daily basis, our associates provide excellent customer service, take pride in their work and treasure the relationships they create, earning them this well-deserved recognition.”

Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center is a 24-hour care, 120-bed certified nursing facility providing healthcare services for the Hilo Community for 18 years.
