Kohala offers hoops, T-ball

Kohala offers hoops, T-ball

The Kohala Community Athletic Association is sponsoring a boys basketball league for ages 9-14 and T-ball/pitchball for ages 5-8.

Free registration will be from 4-5 p.m. Thursday at Hisaoka Gym; uniform will be included.

Basketball practices will be in late December to early January.

The games will be played from mid-January through early March at Hisaoka Gym.

T-ball/pitchball practices will be in early January.

The games will be played mid-January through early March at Kamehameha Park.

Parker School will hold its annual alumni day soccer game and social from 1-4 p.m. Dec. 28 at the school soccer field behind the lower school.

Waimea hoops registration

Parks and Rec Waimea has announced its 2015 boys basketball season.

Register online at waimeaathletics.org or in person till Wednesday from 3:30-5 p.m. at Thelma Gym.

Clinics will be held on the same day and led by Fred Wawner, co-varsity coach at Hawaii Prep. Clinics begin at 3:30 for ages 9-10, and 4:30 for 11-12 and 13-14.

The league runs from Jan. 27 to March 12. The fee is $10, payable to Waimea Athletic.

Boys and girls

The Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a meeting for a boys and girls 14-and-under basketball league at 5 p.m. Dec. 16 at Aunty Sally’s Luau House. The meeting was originally slated to be held Wednesday.

Coaches or team representatives must attend to enter a team in the league.
