Lillian “Linda” Farias, 86, of Hilo died Dec. 6 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired cook for Chiefess Kapiolani Elementary school. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Monday at Malia Puka O Kalani Catholic Church. Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial at noon at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Survived by daughter, Paulette (Mark) Pang-Ching of Hilo; sisters, Lorraine Jardine and Maile DeSilva of Hilo; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Jonathan “Jon” A.V. Sensano, 37, of Hilo died Dec. 8 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was an adult corrections officer and U.S. Air Force veteran. Visitation 6-7 p.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 7 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by daughter, Shyani Sensano of Hilo; mother, Priscilla Sensano of Hilo; sisters, Arlette (Edwin) Aguiar and Allena (Wendell) Vincent of Hilo; brother, Frank (Tracie) Sensano of Hilo; nieces and nephews. Ronald Leialoha Yamada, 84, of Hilo died Dec. 7 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired quarry manager for YS Rock and member of Kinoole Baptist Church, Komohana Kumiai, and Kamehameha Schools class of 1948. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Cecilia “Lei” Yamada of Hilo; sons, Barry Yamada, Clyde (Susan) Yamada and Nathan (Kim) Yamada of Hilo, and Vernon (Marsha) Yamada of Pukalani, Maui; daughters, Karen (Jeff) Loo and Lisa Yamada of Hilo, and Gwen (Stuart) Benevedes of Kailua, Oahu; brother-in-law, Richard Chong of Hilo; sister-in-law, Patricia (Fernando) Farinas of Jacksonville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
