HONOLULU (AP) — Funeral services for former state Rep. Mele Carroll will be held on Oahu and Maui.
Carroll served Kahoolawe, Lanai, Molokai, Molokini and parts of Maui in the state House of Representatives.
According to an announcement from the House majority, a memorial service at Borthwick Mortuary near downtown Honolulu is scheduled for Friday, March 6. Lei are welcomed at the Oahu service.
On Sunday March 15, a Maui memorial service will be held at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. Lei and floral arrangements are welcomed at the Maui service.
Interment will take place at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.
She had been suffering complications from previous cancer treatments and gave up her seat after consulting with doctors and family.
She died last week at the age of 50.
