Barbara Leinaala Amina, 83, of Hilo died Feb. 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired housekeeper for Waiakea Villas and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Keola Pono No Na Kupuna and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Survived by son, Alexander K. (Monica) Amina of Hilo; daughters, Jolyn J. Caingles of Puna and Darnelle L. Pacheco of Hilo; brothers, Francis B. Lincoln of Hilo and Val S. Walter Berrios, 94, of Mountain View died March 1 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Olaa, Keaau, he retired from the former Puna Sugar Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran. Donnie Ryan Camarillo, 56, of Hilo died Feb. 18 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a state employee. Peter “Pop” Kin Wah Lee, 85, of Kona died Feb. 15 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, he was a traveling representative for Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hawaii, retired from the former Hawaiian Telephone Co., and member of the Kealakekua Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Samuel “Braddah Sam” Jason Moniz, 61, of Kapaau died March 2 at his brother’s home in Keaau. Born in Kapaau, he was a former manager for Tutu &Me Traveling Preschool in Kona, retired from Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, a Hawaiian entertainer for various hotels, choir director and member of Imiola Congregational Church and member of Hawaiian Civic Club. Sarah Ka‘awa Lau O Puna “Ukulii” Kaupiko Ruis, 85, of Waimea died Feb. 5 at Kohala Hospital. Born in Milolii, she was a fisherwoman, owner of Sarah’s Ranch, dairy farmer and co-owner of Ruis Enterprises Inc., member of Waimea Hawaiian Civic Club, Waimea Hawaiian Homesteaders Association, Kaahumanu Society, Kawaihae Canoe Club, Imiola Congregational Church and Hauoli Kamanao Church.
