The Big Island Substance Abuse Council invites the public to a fun-filled, family friendly day at the first-ever Splash Bash from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. March 21 at Panaewa Gym and Park.
The free event will feature water slides and water activities all day, including a water balloon battle at 1 p.m. and special guest Augie T. with his nonprofit organization, B.R.A.V.E. (Be Respectful and Value Everyone) Hawaii.
“Special activities will include arm wrestling and MAS wrestling by Resolution Gym and Powered by Buddah, as well an aikido demonstration by Aikido of Hilo and lots of other fun keiki activites,” said BISAC CEO Dr. Hannah Preston-Pita.
The public also is invited to bring bicycles for a free safety inspection provided by Hilo Bike Hub.
“There’s going to be a chance for some lucky people to win a new bicycle or a razor scooter at the event. You just have to bring a book to donate to be entered for that giveaway,” Preston-Pita said.
The Food Basket will be giving away free fruit and there will be hot dogs, cotton candy, shave ice and water for sale at the event.
