Got plans for spring break? The Aloha Music Academy is the perfect opportunity for keiki ages 6-18 to learn fiddle, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, upright bass, bluegrass and slack-key guitar, singing and songwriting from some of the best musicians in Hawaii.
From 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 20, top-shelf instructors teach kids of all experience levels — from rank beginner to advanced — up to three instruments of their choice as well as singing, songwriting, dance and how to kanikapila because jamming with friends is the best way to instill a love for music that will last a lifetime.

In addition, the Aloha Bluegrass Band featuring Keoki Kahumoku will perform several Big Island shows, including the Kona Brewfest’s Brews and Blues Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the courtyard at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel in Kailua-Kona.
