The song tells the story of a man who lived life just the way he wanted … and with few regrets. But sometimes, living our lives our way brings immeasurable heartache, and in some cases, measurable emotional maturity.
This is the case with Debbie Trump, North Kohala resident and featured speaker at the first 2015 Women’s Connection luncheon, an outreach of Stonecroft Ministries.
Scheduled for noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Gilligan’s Cafe in Naalehu, Trump will share her remarkable faith-based story — “I Did It My Way … And It Didn’t Work!” — as women gather for a time of encouragement, inspiring music and good food. Trump and her husband, Jim, have lived on the Big Island for more than 30 years. Their story has a happy ending, yet life’s twists and turns reveal valuable lessons from which all can glean.
In addition to Trump’s presentation, Stonecroft Western States Regional Director Karen Kasser travels from Southern California to share new vision for this 76-year-old international ministry. Kasser’s enthusiasm is contagious, and coupled with Trump’s true-life story, promises hope and healing through a personal relationship with the Creator of our universe.
The Women’s Connection luncheon is $20 per person and includes a full lunch provided by Gilligan’s. The cafe is located at the Discovery Harbor Golf Course inside the clubhouse. Reservations are necessary, so please contact Robin Wagner at (808) 329-3088 or ktt.kona@yahoo.com by Wednesday, March 18.
