Woman shot at by police charged

Police have charged the 25-year-old Hilo woman arrested after a non-fatal officer-involved shooting in Hilo on Saturday.

Cherish Torres was charged Monday with auto theft, first-degree criminal property damage and five traffic offenses. Her bail was set at $36,075.

She remains in the Hilo police cellblock pending her initial court appearance scheduled for today.
