A silent auction to benefit the students of Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School will be part of the 10th annual Laupahoehoe Music and Cultural Festival on Saturday at Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park.

The auction will raise funds for the art and dance program that was successfully launched in the school’s elementary grades this spring.

A variety of goods and services generously donated by island businesses and community members will be offered. There’s something for every budget range, from local honey, quality cutlery and bedding, original artwork and jewelry, to a catamaran trip from Ocean Sports and a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter “Circle of Fire” flight.

Concertgoers can view items and place bids from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the large beach park pavilion. Winners will be announced after bidding is closed and can pay for their items on-site.

Donations of items and services for the auction still are being accepted by Hui Kako‘o O Laupahoehoe. To make a tax-deductible donation, contact Holly Young at 937-1226.
