Karen “Ana” Alice Doom, 75, of Keaau died April 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Minnesota, she was a bookkeeper for Orchidland Community Association, former secretary for First United Protestant Church in Hilo, and worked in the composing room at the San Diego Union and Evening Tribune. Private services. Survived by daughters, Dana K. Maeda of Mountain View and Jana L. (Jon) Hunter of Keaau; son, Kevin; brother, John Hanson; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Arthur A. Hoke III, 54, of Hilo died April 19 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility.
