Hawaii Learning Resource is accepting applications for Spy Camp 2015.
Spy Camp focuses on building students’ academic and social skills in a fun, hands-on learning environment with an emphasis on observation, focus and listening.
The camp targets diverse learners entering students in grades 2-5 during the 2015-16 school year. Enrollment is limited to 25 students. Early registration is encouraged.
A typical day at Spy Camp includes circle time, organized group play, an academic block, and activity centers such as cooking, art and puzzles. Activities are designed to increase student’s engagement and confidence in learning, and build social, self-awareness and relationship skills.
The three-week camp is scheduled for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday from June 8-26 at Kanu o ka ‘Aina School in Waimea. Parent teacher conferences will be June 29-July 2.
Camp tuition is $400 per student. Financial assistance is available for eligible families. Minimum tuition is $200. Snacks will be provided; students must bring their own daily lunch.
