Harue Nakahara, 99, of Hilo died April 12 at a private care home in Hilo. Born in Paukaa, she was a housewife and member of Taishoji Soto Mission Kyodan, Bushin Kai and Fujin Kai. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughter, Glendean (Herbert) Kotomori of Hilo; one grandson; nephews and nieces. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Archie S. Padilla, 95, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 14 at his residence. Born in El Paso, Texas, he was a retired production manager for Lockheed Corp. in Burbank, Calif., and Navy veteran. Inurnment service is 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Survived by daughter, Olivia Padilla of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Helen (Ted) Turner of Tucson, Ariz., Christine (Bob) Madrid of Queens Creek, Ariz.; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Betty Peterson, 90, of Hilo died April 28 at Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Michigan. Memorial service pending at Sparta Baptist Church in Sparta, Mich. Survived by son, Ron Peterson of Michigan; daughter, Carol Parks of Hilo; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Ballard Family Mortuary.
