Jerry Tracy, Aloha Performing Arts Company artistic director, announced open auditions for six volunteer actors for APAC’s summer production of Christopher Durang’s new contemporary comedy “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.”

The auditions are at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 31, and Monday, June 1. Attendance at both sessions is allowed, but not required. There will be a possible invitational callback audition, if necessary, on June 2. All audition sessions will be conducted at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu.

“Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” won the 2013 Tony Award for best play of the year. The Broadway production featured Sigourney Weaver and David Hyde Pierce. APAC is the second company in Hawaii to be granted the performance rights.

Prospective cast members should arrive on time and be prepared to stay about two hours.
