Police have arrested a Hawaii Community Correctional Center inmate for a burglary last year at a business in Kurtistown.
On July 31, someone entered a flower warehouse on North Ala Road and removed various items.
Police say an investigation linked the burglary to 22-year-old Luke Kaniaupio, who had been sentenced to jail in January for unrelated crimes.
Kaniaupio was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree burglary. His bail was set at $2,000 and his initial court appearance on the new offense was Friday.
