Scott Terumi Koya, age 38, of Las Vegas, formerly of Hilo, died at the St. Rose Dominican Hospital Sienna Campus in Henderson, Nevada, on April 25. He was born in Hilo on July 30, 1976, and was a chef at various restaurants in Las Vegas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo from 2 -3 p.m. Memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Casual attire is requested. No flowers. He is survived by companion, Lovelyn Guthrie of Las Vegas; parents, Eugene &Janice Koya of Hilo; numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary, Inc.
