Kirk Wah Yick of Hilo received a bachelor’s degree from Champlain College (Vt.) on May 9.
Sharay Souza of Keaau was among more than 700 graduates who participated in commencement ceremonies at George Fox (Ore.) University in early May. Souza earned a bachelor of science in nursing and bachelor of arts in psychology degrees.
Tessa Sarr of Volcano was named to the dean’s list at Bucknell (Pa.) University for the spring semester of 2014-15 academic year. Dean’s list students achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0.
Matthew Boylan of Hilo was among 230 students named to Concordia (Neb.) University’s honors list for the spring 2015 semester. The top 25 percent of all undergraduate students who complete at least 12 credit hours qualify for the honors list.
In summer 2015, graduate students from Miami (Ohio) University’s Project Dragonfly will travel from throughout the U.S. to Africa, Asia, Australia and the Americas to engage in action projects on vital human and ecological issues.
