North Hawaii gets defending champion Hilo today, but must win twice to secure a berth to states, scheduled June 18-22 at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Gabe Key picked up the win.
Jensen Navarro-Villa took the loss.
Kealii Koa Reyes-Nalu had a homer and two RBIs for Ka‘u.
North Hawaii and Hilo have a good rivalry brewing.
On Friday, Hilo rallied past North Hawaii for an 8-7 victory.

Meanwhile, Little League’s Majors (ages 11-12) District tournament will be held in July in Hilo. The state tournament will be held in Waimea.
