Zentangle: Metal proves that you can “tangle” on just about anything.
Books, boxes, frames and more take on a new life embellished with tangles on metal as well as on the metal tape. In Zentangle: Metal you will create a unique greeting card and be inspired to design personalized art. With metallic tape and Zentangle, the possibilities are almost endless.
Join Lois and Earl Stokes for Zentangle: Metal from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 20 at Volcano Art Center. Class fee is $30 for VAC members and $35 for nonmembers. There’s also a $10 supply fee. Light refreshments are provided.
Zentangle: Basics is recommended but nor required for this class. Call 967-8222 to register or visit www.volcanoartcenter.org.
Following Zentangle’s motto, “Anything is possible one stroke at a time,” the Stokeses have learned more than 140 tangle patterns from the founders of the Zentangle process, Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts. As the Big Island’s first certified instructors, the Stokeses now share these tangles with their students and remind everyone that no artistic ability is necessary.
