HONOLULU (AP) — A fire that caused the evacuation of a food court in a major Honolulu mall caused more than $700,000 in damages to the structure.
Fire Captain Kevin Mokulehua said emergency crews took two security guards away from Ala Moana Center to be treated for smoke inhalation Friday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the mall about 2:30 p.m. But Mokulehua said the fire was invisible, so it took more than two hours to find the elusive blaze.
