The Hawaii Science Teachers Association, in partnership with Chevron, announced the availability of applications for the 2015 Chevron/HaSTA Education Grant program.
The grants, jointly administered by Chevron and HaSTA, support project-based learning opportunities for K-12 schools in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Teachers from public and private schools are encouraged to apply.
Since 2004, Chevron has supported more than $90,000 in grants to schools throughout Hawaii, and in coordination with HaSTA since 2007. Last year, $24,000 in project funding was made available to teachers from 19 public and private schools statewide.
The application deadline is Aug. 17. To download a grant form, visit hasta.wildapricot.org.
The Hawaii Science Teachers Association strives to stimulate, improve and coordinate science teaching at all levels of instruction. HaSTA’s mission is to stimulate and maintain interest in science, to improve and coordinate science teaching and to increase public knowledge of science.
