The county plans tree trimming and mulching work from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. June 22-July 10 on Mamalahoa Highway (Hawaii Belt Road) in Kona.
The work will begin from Manago Hotel in Captain Cook and proceed north to Teshima’s Restaurant. An alternate route is available via the Alii Drive Highway Bypass, from Halekii Street to the north.
There will be alternating single-lane road closures with only one lane available for two-way traffic. Motorists should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.
All roadwork is weather-permitting, with no roadwork on weekends or holidays.
