While remaining in second place, the St. Louis Cardinals’ Kolten Wong fell further behind the Miami Marlins’ Dee Gordon in fan voting for Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.

Gordon had 3,481,830 votes in balloting released Tuesday, 356,857 more than Wong (3,124,973), a 2008 Kamehameha-Hawaii graduate. San Francisco’s Joe Panik remained far back in third and hadn’t yet cracked two million votes.

Last week, Wong had whittled Gordon’s lead to 113,058 votes to be the starter at second base for the National League.

Gordon is second in the National League in batting (.357) and stolen bases (22).

Voting is being conducted exclusively online at MLB.com, through July 2. According to an MLB release, fans can submit up to35 ballots, which they also can receive by texting VOTE to 89269.
