Waiakea graduate Bryce Felipe and Konawaena graduate Bethany Batangan were honored recently as Nobu Yamauchi Memorial Scholarship winners, and each was awarded a $500 college stipend.
Felipe played baseball and Batangan played softball as four-year members of the Nobu Yamauchi RBI Organization.
Felipe will continue his education at Hawaii Community College to study digital media.
Batangan will be attending Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington, and plans to major in business administration.
