Park rangers will demonstrate how to make ti leaf lei from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday (June 24) at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park’s Kilauea Visitor Center lanai.
Ti leaf lei are among the most popular traditional lei in Hawaii. The free ti leaf lei demonstration is part of the national park’s ongoing ‘Ike Hana No‘eau, “experience the skillful work,” workshops.
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park continues its tradition of sharing Hawaiian culture and After Dark in the Park programs with the community and visitors in June.
All programs are free, but park entrance fees apply. Programs are co-sponsored by the Hawaii Pacific Parks Association, and a $2 donation helps support park programs.
