With Jason Lau, Kenny Shamel and Jed Ednie riding Sunday, Mauna Kea Polo Club beat Maui Polo Club 10-4 in the Manoa Cup in Makawao, Maui. Mauna Kea took on an all-wahine team in an event that honors George Manoa Sr.
Mauna Kea holds its season on Sundays in the fall at Waikii Ranch. The club will hold a membership meeting at noon July 18 for anyone interested in the sport. Practices start in September and the season runs from Oct. 4 through Dec. 13.
