William “Tony” Anthony Barkley, 73, of Waimea died June 14 at home. Born in Elkin, N.C., he was a park ranger, U.S. Customs agent, retired police officer, former teacher at Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama and U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, at Imiola Congregational Church in Waimea. Service at 10:30 a.m. Refreshments to follow. Adam Ronald Borkowski, 71, of Milolii died June 22. Born in Philadelphia, he was a retired athletic/physical education director for Hawaii County Parks and Recreation. Private services. Richard Jong Kong Chong, 86, of Hilo died June 26, at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Hilo, he was a retired manager for Yamada Transfer, retired U.S. Army reservist who served during the Korean and Vietnam wars, director of Yamada Diversified, manager of Waiakea Nakoa’s Pop Warner Football, and member of the county Liquor Commission and Waiakea Pirates Club. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Tuesday (July 7) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 6 p.m. Graveside services at 9 a.m. Wednesday (July 8) at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
