Antone “Tony” Amaral, 84, of Hilo died June 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo; he was a retired maintenance mechanic and plumber at Pohakuloa Training Area, a former maintenance supervisor at Kilauea Military Camp, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Early Irons, Model A and Road Devils car clubs and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Friday, July 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jose Itliong Marzan, 74, of Papaikou died June 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pangasinan, Philippines, he was a retired groundskeeper for Puna Certified Nursery, a personnel manager in the Philippines and member of Kilauea Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
