Bead necklaces were thrown, colorful masks were worn and young women were crowned at Lehua Hawaii Productions’ Mardi Gras-themed pageant June 20 at the Hilo Civic Auditorium.
Anne Roth of Hilo, daughter of Mitch and Noriko Roth, was crowned Miss Teen Lehua Hawaii 2015. She won the gown phase of competition. Raynn Dangaran, daughter of Ray and Heidi Dangaran of Paradise Park, placed highest in the judges interview, ethnic costume and talent competition, winning the Young Miss Lehua Hawaii 2015 title.
Rounding out the court is Chamry DeMotta, Teen First Princess, who won the talent award, and Ronelle Valera, named Teen Second Princess and winner of the Spirit of Community and Miss Congeniality awards.
Young Miss First Princess Lehia Coloma won the evening dress and photogenic awards, and Koryn Castaneda-Sako was named Second Princess and won the sunshine award.
In the Teen Division, Teijah Teixeira won the photogenic, scholastic, judges interview and swimsuit phase. Tylee Calicdan was chosen by her peers for the congeniality award.
