Mary Alana Warren, 95, of Kurtistown died July 4 at Hospice of Hilo’s Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Kurtistown, she was a retired postmistress, former employee of Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co., member of Ka Mauloa oka Malamalama Church in Kurtistown, Kurtistown 12 Mile Kumiai, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Casual attire. Survived by son, Andrew Warren of Kurtistown; brothers, Godwin (Ronnie) Nishikawa of Kurtistown and George Ma‘i of Oahu; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
