Hilo’s Murayama on honors list
Jenna Murayama of Hilo, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus in Madison, N.J., was named to the honors list and inducted into FDU’s Phi Zeta Kappa honor society for the spring 2015 semester.
Fairleigh Dickinson University is New Jersey’s largest private university and features more than 100 liberal arts and professional degree programs.
Goldman on dean’s list
Madrone Goldman of Kapaau was named to the dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, N.Y.) for the spring 2015 semester.
Goldman is majoring in physics.
Rensselaer Poly-technic Institute, founded in 1824, is the nation’s oldest technological research university, offering bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in engineering, the sciences, information technology, architecture, management and the humanities and social sciences.
McCullough on Tufts dean’s list
John Tyler McCullough of Kapaau was named to the spring 2015 dean’s list at Tufts (Mass.) University.
Dean’s list honors at Tufts require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
Tufts University, located on three Massachusetts campuses in Boston, Medford/Somerville and Grafton, and in Talloires, France, is recognized among the premier research universities in the United States.
Waiakea grad earns doctorate
Former Keaau resident Dr. Jennifer Hamada, daughter of Larry and Jenny Hamada, graduated June 6 with her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Argosy University.
Hamada was a 2004 graduate of Waiakea High School.
Parker School reunion Aug. 1
Parker School welcomes all alumni to attend its annual summer reunion from 2-5 p.m. Aug. 1 on Parker School’s front porch.
Alumni are encouraged to bring their families and enjoy an afternoon of catching up with friends, faculty and staff, while looking through yearbooks and reminiscing together.
Pupus and beverages will be served.
