The Pacific Buddhist Academy on Oahu will pay tribute to four community leaders, including a Big Island resident, during its annual “Lighting Our Way” dinner slated from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 2 at Waialae Country Club.
Proceeds from the dinner support the independent, fully accredited four-year high school.
Among the academy’s honorees is Frederick Nonaka, a Hawaii Island landscaper and first board chairman of PBA.
Individual tickets and tables of 10 are available for purchase. The event includes a silent auction and a dinner.
