Three people were arrested early Saturday morning followning a large affray in Kailua-Kona, police said Monday.
Shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of a fight involving about 30-50 men and women at the Coconut Grove parking lot. When officers arrived, they found a large, boisterous crowd, many of whom appeared intoxicated and disregarded police requests to disperse. Some of the men became confrontational and began to challenge officers. Police used pepper spray to assist in controlling the situation.
Jimmy Rivera, 32, of Kailua-Kona continued to fight and was eventually tasered, arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
A man and a woman, 23-year-old Dwayson K. Ambrosio of Kamuela and 33-year-old Napualani S. Kamoku of Kailua-Kona, were arrested and charged with failure to disperse.
Rivera was released after posting $250 bail. Ambrosio was released after posting $500 bail. Kamoku was released on her own recognizance.
