Tom “Pork” Pokorski, 61, of Glenwood and Covina, Calif., died July 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Cleveland, he was a baseball coach for the University of Laverne, California State University-Dominguez Hills, Pasadena City College, and Mount San Antonio College, and a left-handed minor league pitcher in the Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners organizations.
