There are some weeks that it’s hard to choose just one candidate for this honor, but this was not one of those weeks.
Alani was simply sensational at the Little League Softball West Regional in Missoula, Montana, hitting one home run after another – seven in all – top fuel Gold Coast to the championship game.
Alani’s family lives in Kailua-Kona, but she’s a sophomore at Kamehameha-Kapalama on Oahu.
Kealakehe and Konawaena are probably kicking themselves, but at least Alani can help the Big Island come summertime.
